Colectivo Tango Esquinas is a group of young musicians of different nationalities who have dedicated themselves to the classical Argentine Tango, creating within it a new dynamic sound. The musicians all bring with them different musical genres, which is naturally reflected in the music: Classic, Jazz , Rock and Pop and Klezmer. Dance ability is as much a focus as the arrangement of the music. Diversified and always good for a surprise – that’s what makes the Tango Argentino of the Esquinas so special.

The Colectivo Tango Esquinas include the projects Esquinas de Nuez (Trio) and the Orchestra Esquinas (Quintet). This album is titled "Orchestra Esquinas" and is the sequel to the 2016 recorded album "Swingin 'Tango". On this album all seven musicians from the Colectivo Tango Esquinas are represented. The sound is powerful and the arrangements more sophisticated. The lineup on this album is always a quintet consisting of accordion, guitar, clarinet, double bass and the tenor saxophone. The double bass gives a solid foundation while the saxophone and clarinet appear in dialogue with each other. The guitar sets the rhythm and timing, likewise the accordion, which, through its characteristic sound, accentuates both melody and rhythm.

With this album we want to revive the Tango and demonstrate a new facet of this genre. Some of the classics of the Argentine Tango ring out in a new colourful sound. The rather untypical match of instruments provides room for shaping and arranging the Tango in a playful way.
